  1. Great rant Andrezj. I think you are right that the industry is not openly sharing what they do and it’s not because some are so good at it. I can’t tell you how many webinars and presentations I have sat through since 2011 where the company says “come watch this and learn about Gamification” and then you sit through 15 minutes of them telling you who they are followed by a whole lot of “if you go choose us we’ll do great things”. Then you wait to learn something other than the definition of gamification which I’ve heard a billion times because I have to explain it to my clients (I get that) but then….they never really tell you anything except to show you a few avatars (they have good artists at least) and not explain what they do or how they do it. They are so afraid that someone will steal their ideas that they won’t share anything and so the general pubic is no better informed. Only a small handful of designers like yourself will actually help people learn. Every time I speak at a conference I make sure people have learned something new when they walk away. It’s the only way we’ll be able to advance the industry. Well and that’s my rant about what we do 🙂
